Warrant Clearance Day events are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, across various locations in the Denver metro area and Pueblo County. The initiative is designed to help individuals with eligible warrants clear their records without facing arrest.
These events will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering services in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Pueblo counties. Participants do not need an appointment to attend. Court officials, probation officers, public defenders, and district attorneys will be present to assist individuals in clearing eligible warrants issued in their respective districts. They will also help resolve cases or set new court dates and connect attendees with community resources.
The offenses eligible for warrant clearance vary by district. Notably excluded from these events are charges under the Victim Rights Act such as assault and domestic violence.
In the 1st Judicial District covering Gilpin and Jefferson counties, the event will occur at the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility in Golden. Eligible offenses include low-level misdemeanors and some property offense felonies. For eligibility inquiries regarding probation-revocation cases or other matters, emails can be sent to provided addresses.
Denver County's event for the 2nd Judicial District will be held at the A.I.D. Center of Denver County on Elati Street. Eligible cases encompass various misdemeanors and class felonies specific to Denver.
In Pueblo County's 10th Judicial District, activities will take place at Dennis Maes Pueblo Combined Court on Elizabeth Street. Eligibility extends to certain property crimes now classified as misdemeanors and various non-violent offenses.
Adams and Broomfield counties' event in the 17th Judicial District will be conducted virtually with a link available on their website on the day of the event.
Arapahoe County’s participants from the 18th Judicial District can attend at Arapahoe District Court in Centennial where class felonies among others are eligible for clearance.
Boulder County’s gathering within the 20th Judicial District is set at Boulder County Justice Center focusing solely on misdemeanor or traffic offenses.
Individuals with qualifying warrants may attend these events either physically or virtually depending on their jurisdiction.
