Dec. 2, 2024, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Residents of El Paso and Teller counties with outstanding arrest warrants have an opportunity to resolve their cases through a community event. The 4th Judicial District is organizing the Second Chances Warrant Clearance and Community Resource Day on Friday, Dec. 6.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the El Paso County Courthouse located at 270 S. Tejon Street in Colorado Springs. During this time, courts, public defenders, and district attorneys from the 4th Judicial District will collaborate to assist individuals in clearing their warrants for various offenses.
Eligible offenses for warrant clearance include municipal violations, misdemeanors or traffic offenses, class 4 drug felonies, as well as class 5 and 6 felonies. However, certain offenses are not eligible for clearance during this event. These include any warrants related to the Victim Rights Act felonies such as assault or domestic violence, unlawful sexual behavior cases, child abuse incidents, careless driving resulting in death cases, and juveniles without a parent or guardian present.
