Approximately 180 students from four high schools in Anne Arundel County will attend a program titled "Schools in the Court." This event is scheduled for Thursday, November 29, at 8:30 a.m. and will take place in Courtroom 1 of the Anne Arundel County District Court located at 251 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis.

The session aims to educate students about the legal and financial repercussions of poor decisions. The program includes presentations by individuals who have been involved with the legal system due to offenses such as drunk driving, speeding, and texting while driving. Students will also observe actual court cases and participate in question-and-answer sessions with court personnel.

Anne Arundel County District Judge Shaem C.P. Spencer will preside over the proceedings. Schools participating include Annapolis High School, Old Mill High School, North County High School, and Indian Creek School.
