Diane Wagner, the Clerk Magistrate for Saunders County Court, has announced her retirement scheduled for June 30, 2025. Wagner is retiring after serving the Judicial Branch for 36 years.

Judge Andrew Lange expressed his gratitude toward Wagner, stating, “On behalf of the State of Nebraska, and its judicial branch, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Diane Wagner. Her selfless dedication to the courts, and the citizens they serve, are a model for others to aspire. Her institutional knowledge will be sorely missed, but not nearly as much as her daily friendship.”

Before Wagner steps down, an interim clerk magistrate will be appointed to fulfill her duties.

Nebraska's judicial power is divided among the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, district courts, and county courts, with all operating under the Supreme Court's administrative guidance. The state's judicial system also includes separate juvenile courts in Douglas, Lancaster, and Sarpy Counties, along with a statewide Workers’ Compensation Court.
