Attorney General Drummond challenges EPA's electric-truck mandate
Attorney General Gentner Drummond has taken legal action to challenge a new electric-vehicle mandate set by the Biden-Harris Administration. The mandate, which was introduced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in April, enforces stricter tailpipe emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles. This effectively pushes manufacturers to produce more electric trucks and fewer internal-combustion engine trucks.
Winooski man charged with luring a child after army-led investigation
The Attorney General’s Office has announced the arraignment of Stephen Lane, a 55-year-old resident of Winooski, Vermont. Lane faces one felony count of luring a child. This charge follows an investigation by the Department of the Army Criminal Intelligence Division, which was later referred to the Vermont Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (VT-ICAC). The Burlington Police Department, South Burlington Police Department, and Winooski Police Department also assisted in the investigation.

Arkansas AG reorganizes divisions; promotes key personnel
Attorney General Tim Griffin has announced an organizational change and two promotions within his office. The Consumer Utility Rate Advocacy Division (CURAD) will now be under the leadership of Deputy Attorney General Doralee Chandler, who also leads the State Agencies Division. Griffin stated, "Given CURAD’s consistent interaction with state regulatory bodies, this move makes sense and will make our team more efficient and more effective in advocating for Arkansas’s ratepayers."
