Arkansas AG reorganizes divisions; promotes key personnel

Attorney General Tim Griffin has announced an organizational change and two promotions within his office. The Consumer Utility Rate Advocacy Division (CURAD) will now be under the leadership of Deputy Attorney General Doralee Chandler, who also leads the State Agencies Division. Griffin stated, "Given CURAD’s consistent interaction with state regulatory bodies, this move makes sense and will make our team more efficient and more effective in advocating for Arkansas’s ratepayers."

In addition to this shift, Christine Cryer has been promoted to Deputy Attorney General of the Public Protection Division. Jordan Broyles will continue as Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division while taking on additional responsibilities as Chief of the Special Litigation Section. Griffin commented, "These changes will strengthen our office, increase our efficiency, and improve our ability to serve the people of Arkansas."

Cryer has extensive experience within the Office of the Attorney General, having worked under four attorneys general. She rejoined the office in January 2023 after serving as Chief Legal Counsel at the Arkansas Department of Corrections. Her educational background includes a degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a juris doctor from its William H. Bowen School of Law.

Broyles joined the Office of the Attorney General in January 2023 after practicing law at Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP in Little Rock. Her practice focused on representing healthcare professionals and facilities in litigation. She is a fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates National Trial College and a graduate of both Missouri University and the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Attorney General Tim Griffin was sworn into his current role on January 10, 2023. His career includes serving as Lieutenant Governor and as a representative for Arkansas's Second Congressional District. He holds over 28 years in service with U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps.

Griffin resides in Little Rock with his family.
