Attorney General Raúl Labrador has announced the arrest of two men in North Idaho for crimes related to child exploitation. Bryce Berg, aged 31, was arrested on October 22, 2024, following a search at his residence. He faces charges including ten counts of possession of child sexual exploitation material and one count of attempted voyeurism. The arrest was carried out by the Idaho Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force with assistance from several agencies, including the Post Falls Police Department and the United States Marshals Service.
The following day, Gregg McFarlane, aged 51, was also arrested by the ICAC Task Force. His charges include seven counts of possession of child sexual exploitation material and three counts involving computer-generated images. This operation involved collaboration with multiple local law enforcement agencies such as the Pinehurst Police Department and the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office.
Attorney General Labrador expressed gratitude for the dedication of those working on these cases: “It’s a difficult job and it takes a toll on the staff who are so dedicated to the safety of Idaho’s kids,” he stated. He emphasized that everyone involved is committed to ending exploitation cycles and thanked agency partnerships for their role in these efforts.
Authorities urge anyone with information about child exploitation to contact local police or relevant hotlines. The ICAC Unit collaborates with various law enforcement bodies to tackle internet-based crimes against children. Resources for parents and educators are available at ICACIdaho.org.
