A federal grand jury in Kansas City, Kansas, has indicted a Missouri resident on charges related to drug trafficking. Otis J. Newton, aged 58, from Kansas City, Missouri, faces one count of attempted possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to legal documents.

The case is currently under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The prosecution is led by Assistant U.S. Attorney David Zabel.

It is important to note that an indictment is only an allegation, and defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
