A Huntsville man has been charged with multiple bank robberies in Madison County, according to a recent announcement by U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona and FBI Special Agent in Charge Carlton L. Peeples.
The individual, Lawrence Jones, aged 57, faces a four-count indictment filed in the U.S. District Court. The charges relate to bank robberies committed at four Regions Bank locations between May 2022 and January 2023.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI in collaboration with the Huntsville Police Department and Madison Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Sara M. Judah and Russell Penfield are handling the prosecution of the case.
It is important to note that an indictment contains only charges, and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
