Seniors from Beulah High School visited the state supreme court as part of their trip to the state capitol during the legislative session. Led by Ms. Maci Behm, the students stopped at the court on Friday, March 7th, where they met with Law Clerks Taylor Schmidt and Gabrielle Frawley.
During their visit, students learned about various aspects of the judicial system. They were informed about "the appeals process," "the role of the law clerk," and "legal ethics." Additionally, discussions covered "the annual average caseload of the court," "differences between the federal and state supreme courts," and what is required to become a justice.
The law clerks explained their roles at the state supreme court to provide insights into daily operations within such an institution.
