Jade A. Pittsley, a 34-year-old resident of Binghamton, New York, has been sentenced to eight years in prison. This follows her guilty plea for escaping federal custody and possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute. The announcement was made by Acting United States Attorney Daniel Hanlon, Erin Keegan from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and United States Marshal David L. McNulty.
Pittsley admitted that in November 2023, while serving a federal sentence for a drug offense involving methamphetamine at a halfway house, she failed to return as directed. Days later, law enforcement discovered her carrying methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
United States District Judge Mae A. D’Agostino also ordered Pittsley to serve a four-year term of supervised release following her prison sentence.
The case was investigated by HSI and the U.S. Marshals Service with assistance from the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Mikayla Espinosa and Kristen Grabowski prosecuted the case.
