A Mescalero man is facing federal charges for allegedly assaulting a woman, resulting in severe injuries. The U.S. Attorney's Office announced the charges against Myron Edward Blake, Jr., 39, who is an enrolled member of the Mescalero Apache Tribe.

The complaint states that Blake allegedly assaulted Jane Doe, causing her serious bodily injury. The injuries include severe head trauma and other wounds consistent with being struck by blunt objects.
