A former student doctor in Albuquerque has pleaded guilty to charges related to child pornography. Kevin Weiss, 28, admitted in court documents to producing and possessing child sexual abuse material involving a minor under the age of 18. He confessed to creating an image by "employing, using, persuading, inducing, enticing, or coercing" the minor. Weiss also acknowledged possession of additional material depicting very young children.
Weiss faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and could receive up to 50 years. After serving his sentence, he will be subject to a supervised release period ranging from five years to life.
The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Alexander M.M. Uballez and Jason T. Stevens, Acting Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) El Paso.
