A member of the Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips gang has been sentenced to 144 months in prison for racketeering and drug charges. Kareem Green, also known as "Try Me," pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton to charges related to a racketeering conspiracy and cocaine distribution. The sentence was handed down on February 5, 2025, in Newark federal court.
The court documents reveal that from 2015 through September 22, 2022, Green was involved with the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, a criminal organization engaged in violent acts and drug trafficking within New Jersey and beyond. In early April 2021, Green participated in two separate shooting incidents with other gang members. Additionally, he was involved in distributing cocaine on March 5, 2021.
In addition to the prison term, Green will serve three years of supervised release following his incarceration.
