The United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania has announced that Shontez Andrews, a 35-year-old resident of York County, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 80 months in prison. The sentence was delivered by United States District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson on January 28, 2025. Andrews faced charges related to the distribution of both powder and crack cocaine.
Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus stated that Andrews distributed these drugs in York, Pennsylvania, on five separate occasions between June 23, 2021, and March 3, 2022. A search warrant executed on March 23, 2022, led law enforcement to recover more quantities of crack and powder cocaine from Andrews's residence in Manchester, Pennsylvania, as well as from a vehicle he used.
The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the York County Drug Task Force, and the Manchester Regional Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney David C. Williams and former Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul J. Miovas Jr. were responsible for prosecuting the case.
