The Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth Judicial District is set to hold a public hearing on February 27, 2025, at the Douglas County Courthouse in Omaha, Nebraska. This session will evaluate candidates for the District Court Judge position left vacant by the retirement of Judge W. Russell Bowie. Chief Justice Jeffrey J. Funke announced that applications must be submitted by February 6, 2025.

Completed applications are due by 3:00 p.m. CST on February 6 and can be sent electronically or via mail as specified in the application instructions. Candidates should ensure timely delivery since late submissions will not be accepted.
