Mathew Crabtree, 36, from New Market, Alabama, has been sentenced for driving under the influence of alcohol and refusing a breath test. He will pay $750 in fines and serve two years of unsupervised probation with a ban from Yellowstone National Park. Additionally, he must serve four days in jail by May 20, 2025. U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephanie A. Hambrick presided over the case.
Matthew Stetzel, also 36 and previously residing in Mammoth, Wyoming, received a sentence for similar offenses including DUI and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle. He was fined $850 in total and given one year of unsupervised probation with restrictions on entering Yellowstone National Park. Stetzel must complete six days of incarceration by May 21, 2025.
In drug trafficking cases, Ricardo Valencia from Long Beach, California was sentenced to 87 months imprisonment for intent to distribute methamphetamine after being apprehended with approximately eight pounds of the substance along with firearms and paraphernalia during a traffic stop by Wyoming Highway Patrol.
Nicholas Elton Terry from Torrington, Wyoming received a sentence of 30 months for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl after being found with about 1,000 pills during another traffic stop by WHP.
Lastly, Preston Lewis from Rock Springs was sentenced to 30 months for unlawful possession of a machine gun after admitting to modifying firearms into fully automatic weapons. His case involved investigations by multiple federal agencies.
