Jay Clayton, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Christopher G. Raia of the FBI's New York Field Office have announced charges against Brian Liam Fullerton. Fullerton, 46, of Mahopac, New York, faces three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He was arrested and appeared in court before U.S. Magistrate Judge Judith C. McCarthy.
The charges involve allegations of using Snapchat and other social media to manipulate and exploit minors. "As alleged, Brian Fullerton used Snapchat and other social media applications to manipulate and exploit numerous minor victims," stated U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton. He emphasized the commitment to using all available resources to protect minors.
Christopher G. Raia of the FBI added, "Brian Fullerton allegedly directed several female minors to record and perform sexual acts, while requiring secrecy upon learning the victims’ underage status."
According to the Complaint, Fullerton solicited explicit photos and videos from victims starting from September 2022. A 14-year-old individual, known as "Victim-3," was among those targeted, with Fullerton allegedly sending inappropriate messages to this minor.
Authorities have asked anyone with information on Fullerton, who used usernames such as "lomax518," "BRADSMITH4187," and "bradsddysza," to contact the FBI.
Fullerton's charges include a potential sentence of 15 to 30 years for each count. The case is being managed by the White Plains Division, under Assistant U.S. Attorney Carmi Schickler. Clayton acknowledged the efforts of the FBI and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
The charges are allegations, and Fullerton is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
