Second Judicial District seeks new district judge following Judge Antoun's passing

The Second Judicial District Nominating Commission is set to convene on June 21, 2024, at the Denver City and County building to interview and select nominees for a district judge position in Denver County. This vacancy follows the passing of Judge Christine Antoun on May 25, 2024.

Applicants must be qualified electors of the Second Judicial District and have been admitted to practice law in Colorado for at least five years. The annual salary for this role is $193,008. A district judge initially serves a provisional term of two years, with subsequent six-year terms if retained by voters.

Completed applications must be emailed by 4:00 p.m. on June 12, 2024. Suggestions for candidates can be submitted via letter by June 5, 2024.
