The Minnesota Judicial Branch is currently in the process of developing its strategic plan for fiscal years 2026-2027. This biennial plan is designed to guide the Branch's decision-making and resource allocation efforts, ensuring alignment with its mission and vision.
To inform this strategic planning process, the Branch is seeking feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, including litigants, justice partners, and members of the public. The input gathered will help shape the priorities and focus areas for the upcoming strategic period.
The Minnesota Judicial Branch encourages participation in a survey intended to collect ideas and experiences that will influence its future direction. Participants have the flexibility to answer as many or as few questions as they wish, with all responses remaining anonymous. The deadline for completing this survey is Friday, March 8.
The current roadmap of the Minnesota Judicial Branch outlines long-range targets that define each two-year strategic plan. Interested individuals can review the existing FY24-25 Strategic Plan on the About the Courts page to understand ongoing initiatives and future plans.
Participants are asked to consider several key elements while completing the survey:
- **Mission**: "To provide justice through a system that assures equal access for the fair and timely resolution of cases and controversies."
- **Vision**: "The general public and those who use the court system will refer to it as accessible, fair, consistent, responsive, free of discrimination, independent, and well-managed."
- **Values**: Collaboration; Diversity; Equity; Inclusion; Equal Justice for All; Innovation; Public Service; Public Trust and Confidence
- **Strategic Goals**: Access to Justice; Effective Administration of Justice; Public Trust & Accountability
These foundational principles are intended to steer both current operations and future developments within Minnesota's judicial system.
