The Circuit Court for Baltimore City is set to celebrate the graduation of five individuals from its Adult Drug Treatment Court program on May 14, 2025. Since the program's start in March 1994, it has helped hundreds of participants improve their lives. The Adult Drug Treatment Court is one of 74 problem-solving courts in Maryland, addressing issues such as drug addiction, mental health, and veteran affairs.
The program offers nonviolent offenders with substance use disorders access to treatment and support services. These include case management, drug testing, employment assistance, educational programs, and help with housing and benefits.
The graduation ceremony will take place at the Elijah E. Cummings Jr. Courthouse. Judges, court staff, family members, prosecutors, and defense attorneys will attend to congratulate the graduates. Mayor Brandon M. Scott will deliver a keynote speech alongside guest speaker John Clary, a graduate from 2024.
Media are invited to cover the event.
