Approximately 135 students from Broadneck High School and Glen Burnie High School in Anne Arundel County will participate in the "Schools in the Court" program. This event is scheduled for Thursday, February 14, at 8:30 a.m. It will be held at Courtroom 1 of the Anne Arundel County District Court located at 251 Rowe Blvd., Annapolis.

The program aims to educate students about the legal and financial consequences of poor decisions. Students will hear from individuals who have encountered the legal system due to offenses such as drunk driving, speeding, and texting while driving. Additionally, they will observe real court cases and engage with court personnel through question-and-answer sessions.

Anne Arundel County District Judge Shaem C.P. Spencer will preside over this educational session.

For those interested in attending or requiring further information about camera permissions during the event, contact Maryland Judiciary’s Government Relations and Public Affairs Division via email at [email protected]. Paid parking is available behind the courthouse along Taylor Ave.
