Ten individuals are set to celebrate their sobriety and the successful completion of a court-supervised program at the fifth graduation ceremony of the adult drug treatment court in Calvert County. The event will take place on Thursday, June 14, at the Circuit Court for Calvert County. Since its inception in 2015, approximately 30 participants have graduated from this program, which aims to assist individuals in overcoming substance abuse.
The ceremony will be presided over by Calvert County Circuit Judge Mark S. Chandlee. Keynote speakers include Bernie Fowler Jr., founder of Farming 4 Hunger, and Rico Nelson, agricultural and prevention coordinator for Farming 4 Hunger.
The graduation is scheduled for Thursday, June 14, at 1 p.m., in Courtroom No. 1 at the Circuit Court for Calvert County located at 175 Main St., Prince Frederick.
