Approximately 140 high school students from Anne Arundel County are set to participate in an educational program at the Anne Arundel County District Court. Scheduled for Thursday, February 15, the Schools in the Court program aims to educate students about the legal and financial repercussions of poor decision-making.
Students from Northeast, Severna Park, and Southern high schools will be involved in this initiative. They will have the opportunity to observe court proceedings and hear firsthand accounts from individuals affected by choices such as drunk driving, speeding, and texting while driving. Additionally, participants will meet members of the Maryland State Police K-9 squad.
Anne Arundel County District Judge Shaem C.P. Spencer will preside over the event. The session is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. in Courtroom 1 at the Anne Arundel County District Court located on Rowe Blvd., Annapolis.
