Maryland Court of Appeals Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera recently welcomed 16 students from The Heights School in Potomac to the state's appellate courts. This visit was part of a school program designed to educate students about the judicial system.
During their time at the courts on March 2, Chief Judge Barbera offered an overview of both the Court of Appeals and the Court of Special Appeals. She also engaged with the students by answering their questions. To wrap up their visit, the students observed proceedings in both courts.
