Elkins man receives 48-month sentence for meth distribution

Richard Emery Delphey, a 52-year-old resident of Elkins, West Virginia, has been sentenced to four years in prison for distributing methamphetamine. Court documents reveal that Delphey was involved in selling the drug within Randolph County and has previous convictions related to drugs and theft.

Following his prison term, Delphey will be subject to three years of supervised release. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner on behalf of the government.

The investigation was conducted by the Mountain Region Drug Task Force, which is supported by HIDTA funding. Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the proceedings.
