The North Dakota Health and Human Services (ND HHS) Child Support Section is seeking a Chief Legal Counsel and Policy Administrator. This position, which can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States, involves leading a team to develop program policy and legal practices aimed at ensuring effective child support collection and distribution.
The role is one of three assistant state child support directors, overseeing nearly three dozen staff members. Responsibilities include supervising the legal team, collaborating with state courts, and enhancing the interaction between private attorneys and the child support program. The selected candidate will also be responsible for aligning business practices with legal standards through proactive guidance.
Applicants must have a license to practice law in North Dakota or be able to obtain one. Experience in family law litigation, particularly in child support, along with proven success as a supervising attorney are required qualifications.
The position offers a salary range from $7,360 to $8,587 monthly. Interested candidates must submit their applications by June 1, 2025.
