A Las Vegas man appeared in court on Tuesday, facing allegations of committing multiple armed carjackings. The individual, Aerion Warmsley, is accused of brandishing a Taurus 9mm firearm to steal vehicles through force and intimidation.

The indictment outlines incidents beginning on March 24, 2025, when Warmsley allegedly stole a Mercedes-Benz CLA 250. The victim reportedly sustained a fractured nose during the incident. On March 27, Warmsley is accused of stealing a Mercedes-Benz GL450 and striking two pedestrians while fleeing from law enforcement. Both pedestrians suffered serious injuries; one with a brain bleed and multiple fractures, the other with multiple fractures. On the same day, another carjacking involving a Kia Sorrento was reported.

Warmsley faces charges including two counts of carjacking resulting in serious bodily injury, three counts of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and one count of carjacking. His jury trial is set for July 14, 2025, before United States District Judge Gloria M. Navarro.

If found guilty, Warmsley could face life imprisonment. Sentencing will be determined by a federal district court judge who will consider U.S. Sentencing Guidelines among other factors.

The announcement was made by United States Attorney Sigal Chattah for the District of Nevada and Special Agent in Charge Spencer L. Evans for the FBI Las Vegas Division.

The investigation involved multiple agencies: the FBI; Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; North Las Vegas Police Department; Henderson Police Department; and Clark County School District Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Edward Penetar is leading the prosecution.

It is important to note that an indictment is merely an allegation and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt in court.
