Steven David Seeger, a 46-year-old resident of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, has admitted to federal charges related to child exploitation. The offenses include coercion and enticement of a minor for sex and the production of child pornography.
Court documents reveal that Seeger engaged in online communication with underage girls. During these interactions, he persuaded several victims to create and send him sexually explicit images and videos.
Seeger faces significant prison time if convicted. For the enticement charge, he could receive a sentence ranging from 10 years to life in federal prison. The charge related to the production of child pornography carries a potential sentence of 15 to 30 years. A federal district court judge will determine the final sentence by considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines along with other statutory factors.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberley Crockett on behalf of the government. Investigations were conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the West Virginia State Police, and the Preston County Sheriff’s Office.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi presided over the proceedings.
