The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia has announced the 15th Annual Anti Violence Youth Summit, titled "Making D.C. Safe and Beautiful." The event is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at The Catholic University of America in the Pryzbyla Center. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m., with the program starting at 10:00 a.m.
U.S. Attorney Ed Martin Jr. expressed support for the initiative, stating, “The Youth Summit empowers everyone, especially our youth, to take part in the President’s initiative to Make D.C. Safe and Beautiful.”
Supervisory Community Outreach Specialist Baretta Francis highlighted the summit's objectives: “Now in its 15th year, the Youth Summit empowers young people with vital information and tools to build safer, stronger communities.” The summit aims to bring together youth, community organizations, law enforcement, and other partners to address issues affecting young people in the District. Topics will include opioid abuse prevention, gun violence prevention, and mental health awareness.

Safe and Beautiful Youth Summit held each summer on our campus in Northeast DC.”
