Karen Sue Freeman, a 64-year-old resident of Grant, Oklahoma, has been sentenced to five years in prison for distributing methamphetamine. The announcement was made by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The charge stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Hugo Police Department, and Durant Police Department. Freeman had pleaded guilty on January 14, 2025. Investigators reported that on March 13, 2024, she distributed approximately 50 grams of methamphetamine.

Chief U.S. District Judge Ronald A. White presided over the hearing at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Freeman will remain in custody with the U.S. Marshals Service until she is transported to a designated Bureau of Prisons facility to serve her sentence without parole.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachel Geizura.
