Dale Robinson, a supervisor at Miami-Dade Transit, his wife Marcia Robinson, and contractor Jessie Bledsoe have pleaded guilty to federal charges related to bribery. Dale Robinson admitted to soliciting a bribe from Bledsoe for Metrorail repair and maintenance contracts. Marcia Robinson confessed to misprision of a felony for aiding in concealing the bribery. Bledsoe acknowledged paying the bribe in connection with his contracts with Miami-Dade Transit.

The guilty pleas were entered before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ellen F. D’Angelo and accepted by U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore, while Bledsoe's plea was made before U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom.

Dale Robinson served as the acting General Superintendent and lead Rail Structure and Track Supervisor at Miami-Dade Transit, responsible for recommending contractors for track maintenance work, including those done by Bledsoe's company, JB Railroad Contracting, Inc., based in North Dakota.

In January 2021, during JB Railroad's contract work on Metrorail track fasteners and seeking additional welding work contracts, Dale Robinson requested a significant bribe from Bledsoe to influence contractor selection for an upcoming project. To conceal the payment, Bledsoe agreed to pay through a company specified by Dale Robinson.

Marcia Robinson created Tailored Railroads & Consulting LLC in Maryland upon her husband's direction and opened a checking account where she was the sole signatory. This entity was used to disguise payments intended for Dale Robinson’s benefit through checks issued by JB Railroad.

Between February 2021 and February 2022, four invoices were sent from Tailored Railroads to JB Railroad despite no services being rendered. These transactions amounted to $75,956 as part of the bribe scheme.

Although Marcia Robinson did not know all details of her husband's agreement with Bledsoe when these payments were made, she knew they were intended for her husband’s personal benefit related to his recommendations at Miami-Dade Transit but did not report it.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 10, 2025, for Dale and Marcia Robinson before U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore in Miami; Dale faces up to 10 years imprisonment while Marcia could receive up to three years. Jessie Bledsoe will be sentenced on August 1, 2025, facing up to 10 years in prison before U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom.

The case announcement was made by U.S Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne of the Southern District of Florida alongside FBI Special Agent Brett Skiles and Inspector General Felix Jimenez from MDC-OIG.

Assistant U.S Attorney Edward N Stamm is prosecuting both cases with Assistant U.S Attorney Marx Calderon handling forfeiture matters.
