Vincent Irving Jones, a resident of Fairmont, West Virginia, confessed to charges of intent to distribute methamphetamine and illegal firearm possession. Court documents reveal that Jones had a quantity of methamphetamine in Marion County and a firearm. Due to previous felony convictions, Jones is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Jones could receive a maximum of 20 years in federal prison for the drug-related charges and up to 15 years for the firearms violation. The final sentencing will be determined by a federal district court judge, who will consider U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Rhee is managing the prosecution for the government. Investigations were conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Fairmont Police Department, with U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael John Aloi overseeing the proceedings.
