Kodey Dean Lamont, a resident of Cheyenne, Wyoming, has been sentenced to 156 months in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release. The sentence stems from his conviction for attempting to entice a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. The court additionally ordered Lamont to pay $6,000 in restitution and a $100 special assessment fee. The case originated in October 2024 during an undercover online investigation conducted jointly by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). Lamont responded to an online ad and negotiated a meeting with whom he thought was a 14-year-old girl. Lamont was subsequently arrested at the arranged rendezvous spot. He pleaded guilty and U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson delivered the sentence on April 8 in Cheyenne.

In another case, Timothy McReynolds of Moorcroft, Wyoming, received a 78-month prison sentence for methamphetamine distribution. Following an investigation by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations Northeast Enforcement Team (DCI NEET) in Campbell County, McReynolds was involved in three controlled methamphetamine purchases between July and September 2023. McReynolds waived indictment and pleaded guilty earlier this year. U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on April 3 in Cheyenne.

Jessie Miller from Big Horn, Wyoming, was sentenced to 48 months imprisonment for distributing methamphetamine. Miller was arrested in May 2024 following a traffic stop by the Sheridan Police Department, which led to the seizure of various drugs, including methamphetamine and fentanyl. Prosecution revealed that Miller was involved in distributing these substances. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl sentenced her on April 3 in Cheyenne.

Kilburn Troy Timbana from Arapahoe, Wyoming, was sentenced to 41 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Officers found him in possession of a loaded Smith & Wesson pistol in October 2024. Timbana, who pleaded guilty, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin on April 10 in Cheyenne.

The United States Attorney’s Office of Wyoming handles such cases, representing the federal government in various litigations, enforcing federal law, and ensuring community safety through different initiatives, including Project Safe Childhood and Operation Take Back America.
