The Minnesota Attorney General's Office has been recognized as a top employer for veterans, receiving the 4 Star Employer Award from VETS Indexes for the second consecutive year. This award highlights the office's efforts in hiring, retaining, and supporting veterans and the military-connected community under the leadership of Attorney General Ellison.

VETS Index analyzes employer policies and practices in detail across five categories to select recipients for the Employer Awards. “When the Attorney General’s Office is staffed by bright and talented people from different backgrounds and walks of life, including military veterans, all Minnesotans benefit,” expressed Attorney General Ellison. He extended gratitude to veterans on staff for their service to both the nation and the people of Minnesota.

The office has established multiple Employee Resource Groups (ERG), including a Veterans ERG, aimed at empowering veterans, fostering an inclusive workplace, and addressing veteran issues. "The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General has demonstrated exceptional support for veterans," stated George Altman, president of VETS Indexes.

In addition to the VETS Indexes award, the Minnesota Attorney General's Office has been recognized as a top workplace by both the Star Tribune and USA Today for four successive years. VETS Indexes, a prominent voice on veteran employment, oversees the VETS Indexes Employer Awards and the Employing U.S. Vets Conference.
