A Mexican man has pleaded guilty in a U.S. District Court for the re-entry of a removed alien. The U.S. Attorney for Buffalo, Michael DiGiacomo, announced that Abraham Ulises Jimenez-Licona, 38, entered the plea before Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. and received a six-month prison sentence.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Andrew J. Henning and Sasha Mascarenhas reported that Jimenez-Licona was initially removed from the United States by an immigration judge in Batavia, New York, in May 2012. He was ordered removed again in 2021 following a violent assault. On February 6, 2025, he was found in Amherst, New York.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, led by Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan, and Customs and Border Protection, under Director of Field Operations Rose Brophy.
