Vincent Jerome May, an Okmulgee resident, has admitted guilt to several charges before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. May, 37, pleaded guilty to robbery in Indian Country, interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle, and assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a spouse, intimate partner, or dating partner in Indian Country.
According to the indictment, on March 4, 2023, May used force, violence, and intimidation to take valuables from a victim. He is also accused of knowingly transporting a stolen vehicle from Oklahoma to Colorado, and assaulting an intimate partner, causing significant bodily harm.
These offenses took place in Okmulgee County, within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Reservation, which is part of the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The investigation that led to the charges was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Okmulgee Police Department.
The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson, who ordered a presentence investigation report. Currently, May is in the custody of the United States Marshals Service as he awaits sentencing.
