Dale Lynn Taylor, a 59-year-old resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, Taylor was convicted of Second Degree Rape in Oklahoma on May 28, 2014. Following his conviction, Taylor was required to register as a sex offender. However, from April 2, 2019, until July 8, 2024, he did not register or update his registration, despite traveling to or residing in Indian country within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The investigation was carried out by the United States Marshals Service Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.
The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge Jason A. Robertson in the Eastern District of Oklahoma. Judge Robertson ordered a presentence investigation report to be completed and Taylor will stay under the custody of the United States Marshals Service until his sentencing.
