A resident of McAllen, Texas, has pleaded guilty to charges related to cocaine distribution. U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei announced that Narciso Dominguez III, aged 26, was apprehended for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.

The case unfolded when authorities conducted surveillance on suspected stash houses in McAllen on May 23, 2024. During this operation, Dominguez was observed purchasing shipping supplies, which raised suspicions. He was followed to a mail shipping establishment where he attempted to send multiple packages to Dallas.

Upon inspection of these packages, authorities discovered a total of 19 kilograms of cocaine in shipping materials similar to those Dominguez had bought earlier. Dominguez admitted he was aware the packages contained cocaine.

Sentencing is set for July 15 by U.S. District Judge Drew B. Tipton. Dominguez could face a life sentence in federal prison and a fine of up to $10 million. He remains in custody until the hearing.

The Drug Enforcement Administration led the investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jose A. Garcia prosecuting the case.
