A Camden County man has confessed to distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney John Giordano.

Joseph Watson, 38, from Sicklerville, New Jersey, admitted guilt to charges including conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute both methamphetamine and fentanyl. The charges were heard before U.S. District Judge Christine P. O’Hearn in Camden federal court.

The case documents and court statements reveal that between June 2023 and October 2023, Watson collaborated with Ian Dudley and others in distributing crystal methamphetamine and fentanyl across Camden County, Gloucester County, and other areas in southern New Jersey. During this period, Watson reportedly sold about 927 grams of crystal methamphetamine and approximately 28 grams of fentanyl to an undercover federal agent.

Each charge related to the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison along with a $1 million fine. Sentencing for Watson is set for July 29, 2025.

U.S. Attorney Giordano acknowledged the efforts of special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives under L.C. Cheeks Jr.'s direction for their role in the investigation.

Co-defendant Ian Dudley is currently awaiting trial in connection with this case and remains presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph McFarlane represents the government in this matter.

Defense counsel for Watson is Stanley King from Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins.
