Kevyn Bradley Heath, a resident of Rochester, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release for producing and distributing child pornography. The announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick.

Court documents revealed that between November 19, 2023, and December 31, 2023, Heath, aged 28, engaged in the production of child pornography and distributed it via Discord, an online social platform. His crimes involved sexual contact with infant or toddler victims under his care.

Heath pleaded guilty on November 7, 2024, to one count of production of child pornography. He received his sentence from Judge Katherine M. Menendez at the U.S. District Court. Additionally, he has been ordered to pay $106,000 in restitution.

“Child abusers who commit horrific sex crimes and then document that abuse in pictures and videos are among the most vile offenders we prosecute. This conduct is—in a word—sickening,” stated Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick. “My office will continue to stand up for the victims of sexual abuse and seek only the strongest of sentences against defendants who commit these terrible crimes.”

The case was investigated by the Rochester Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations as part of Project Safe Childhood. This nationwide initiative aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse since its launch in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. It involves collaboration among federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals exploiting children through the internet while also identifying and rescuing victims.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew D. Forbes led the prosecution.
