Federal authorities have charged 14 individuals in Indianapolis with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine. The indictment follows a law enforcement operation that resulted in the arrest of 13 people, with eight taken into custody on March 21, 2025.
The defendants face various charges related to drug trafficking activities. Tanesha M. Turner is charged with multiple offenses including kidnapping and firearm violations. Charles T. Dunson faces charges such as distribution of methamphetamine and possession of a machinegun. Other defendants include Tre J. Dunn, who is accused of causing death by using a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
Authorities allege the group operated several trap houses for drug sales in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. Members are also accused of committing violent acts to intimidate rivals and customers or retaliate against potential witnesses. Specific incidents involve alleged shootings and kidnappings linked to debt collection from drug customers.
The investigation was conducted by multiple agencies including the FBI, DEA, and local police departments as part of Operation Take Back America—a nationwide initiative targeting cartels and criminal organizations.
Acting U.S. Attorney Childress expressed gratitude to Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley A. Blackington and Kelsey Massa for their roles in prosecuting the case.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
