Attorney General Pamela Bondi has expressed her disapproval following a decision by a federal judge in Washington, D.C., which temporarily halts deportations. The ruling is perceived as favoring the Tren de Aragua group, which Bondi refers to as "terrorists."
Bondi criticized the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for representing the group and stated that the judge's order "disregards well-established authority regarding President Trump’s power." She voiced concerns about the potential risks this decision poses to public safety and law enforcement.
Despite the setback, Bondi emphasized that "the Department of Justice is undeterred in its efforts to work with the White House, the Department of Homeland Security, and all of our partners to stop this invasion and Make America Safe Again."
