A Cheektowaga man, Darryl Lamont Paul, also known as Darryl Lamont, has been arrested and charged with attempted sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, as well as possession with intent to distribute cocaine. These charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Caitlin M. Higgins is handling the case. According to her statement, for the past 25 years, Lamont has owned NoLimit Entertainment (NLE), a company providing entertainment services such as nude dancers and topless bartenders for events like stag parties and birthdays. Lamont has had a long-standing business relationship with the owner of Pharoah’s Gentleman’s Club, sharing employees between their businesses.
The criminal complaint details that in early July 2024, Lamont invited a 19-year-old woman to his residence to audition for NLE. During this audition process, he instructed her to undress completely for an inspection of her body. Subsequently, he invited her to observe at a stag party where she witnessed two dancers engaging in sexual activities.
Lamont further arranged for the young woman to audition at another strip club and later took her back to his apartment under the guise of "training." It was there that he allegedly forced her to consume cocaine and alcohol while she observed what appeared to be a large quantity of cocaine in his possession. He suggested that working for him would be financially beneficial due to his connections with influential people and even mentioned knowing personal details about her family members—remarks which were perceived as intimidation tactics by the victim.
In addition, Lamont required the victim to sign a nondisclosure agreement preventing disclosure of events at his house or during stag parties. When she expressed discomfort and unwillingness to continue working for NLE, Lamont reportedly threatened that she would not be able to work at the strip club if she did not comply.
Lamont appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy today and remains held pending a detention hearing scheduled for March 18, 2025.
This investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia's direction.
It is important to note that these charges are accusations; Mr. Paul is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
