A federal grand jury has indicted Antoine Tucker, a 22-year-old originally from Washington D.C., on charges of possessing a weapon while incarcerated. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania made the announcement regarding the indictment, which was filed on March 4, 2025.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus explained that the indictment accuses Tucker of having a weapon in his possession on August 17, 2024. The alleged weapon is described as a roughly 5-inch piece of plastic sharpened to a point with a cloth handle, known as a "shank." This incident reportedly took place at the Federal Correctional Institute at Allenwood in Union County, Pennsylvania.

The investigation into this matter was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Bureau of Prisons. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jenny P. Roberts is handling the prosecution.

If convicted, Tucker faces up to five years in prison under federal law for this offense. Additional penalties could include supervised release after imprisonment and fines. Sentencing will be determined by a judge based on federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.

It is important to note that indictments are merely allegations and all individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
