Four men indicted on federal kidnapping charge in Colorado

Four individuals have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to kidnapping. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado has announced that Darwin Veliz-Gonzalez, Jose Daniel Pineda-Moreno, Jeffrerson Balza-Delfin, and Yender Enrique Campos-Malave face one count each for allegedly unlawfully seizing, confining, kidnapping, abducting, and holding an unidentified victim for ransom.

Balza-Delfin and Campos-Malave appeared before Magistrate Judge Cyrus Y. Chung today. Meanwhile, Veliz-Gonzalez and Pineda-Moreno are set to appear at a later date.

The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Denver Field Office in collaboration with the Denver Police Department. The case is prosecuted by the Violent Crimes and Immigration Enforcement section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
