Clarence Montana Walls, a 39-year-old resident of Huntington, has been sentenced to four years in prison followed by three years of supervised release for distributing methamphetamine. This decision was made in Charleston, West Virginia.

Court documents reveal that Walls sold methamphetamine on five occasions between October 11 and October 26, 2023, at a residence in Richwood. Each transaction involved a confidential informant. Additionally, on May 9, 2023, Walls sold fentanyl to an informant in Clay County. He admitted guilt for the methamphetamine sale on October 11, 2023.

A search warrant executed by law enforcement on October 31, 2023, at the Richwood residence where Walls lived led to the seizure of $650 from controlled drug transactions and $3,625 along with a small amount of controlled substances.

Walls' criminal history includes convictions for second-degree criminal sexual conduct, domestic violence, providing false information to officers, and several controlled substance offenses. The court determined that he obstructed justice after his arrest by making recorded jail phone calls attempting to influence grand jury testimony against him.

Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston praised the Central Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force for their investigative efforts. United States District Judge Thomas E. Johnston presided over the case and delivered the sentence. Assistant United States Attorneys Andrew D. Isabell and Alexander A. Redmon were responsible for prosecuting the case.
