Jonathan Fitzpatrick, a 33-year-old resident of Pratt, West Virginia, has been sentenced to over 16 years in prison for distributing methamphetamine. The sentence includes five years of supervised release following his prison term.
Court documents reveal that on June 3, 2024, Fitzpatrick sold approximately 10 pounds of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in Charleston's Kanawha City area. He admitted to this transaction and acknowledged distributing about 90 pounds of methamphetamine-containing substances to the informant between December 2022 and April 2024.
Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston announced the sentencing and praised the investigative efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the U.S. Route 119 Drug Task Force. This task force comprises members from several local sheriff's offices and the West Virginia State Police.
The sentence was handed down by Senior United States District Judge David A. Faber. Assistant United States Attorney Samuel D. Marsh handled the prosecution.
