Federal grand jury indicts multiple defendants across Nebraska

The federal Grand Jury for the District of Nebraska has issued 33 unsealed indictments against 35 defendants, as announced by Acting United States Attorney Matthew Molsen. The charges span a range of offenses including child pornography, drug distribution, marriage fraud, and illegal re-entry into the United States.

Jacob Smith, 33, from Lincoln, faces two counts related to child pornography. "Count I charges Smith with distribution of child pornography beginning at least on or about August 10, 2024," while Count II pertains to possession on January 17, 2025.

Jordan Vaughn, 34, from Scribner is charged with three counts involving child pornography production and transfer of obscene materials to a minor. Vaughn's alleged activities span from November 1, 2019, to February 4, 2025.

Cody Williams of Lincoln is accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm on October 2, 2024.

Dustin Garcia Santiago and Isabelle Ruth Engel are charged with marriage fraud in March 2020. Santiago is accused directly while Engel faces charges for aiding and abetting.

Darrell Damme and Jason Wainwright face conspiracy charges related to methamphetamine distribution between September and October of last year. Wainwright also has additional charges linked to his prior criminal history.

Sherman R. Wade is charged with bank robbery and firearm use during a crime on July 3, 2024.

Adrian Gonzalez from River is indicted for methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute on September 9, last year.

Tyler Foreman faces two counts involving methamphetamine distribution resulting in death around September last year.

Julius Leon Ditto is charged with fentanyl distribution and assaulting an officer in Omaha last October.

Donald Isaiah Riley faces one count for firearm possession as a felon earlier this year in Omaha. Justin R. Anderson also from Omaha is indicted for using false documents back in November of the previous year.

Several individuals face charges related to illegal re-entry into the U.S., some after felony convictions: Enrique Mendez Lopez among others are listed under these allegations without explicit consent from U.S authorities for re-admission following exclusion or deportation. Luis Rigoberto Medrano-Ramirez along with Nelson Reina Lopez were found after felony convictions while Roberto Ortiz-Gomez was discovered post-aggravated felony conviction.

The maximum penalties vary based on specific cases but generally include substantial prison terms accompanied by fines and supervised release periods upon potential conviction outcomes according each charge specifics outlined within their respective indictments
