A member of the Bloods criminal street gang has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for drug trafficking and firearm possession. Christopher Scarbor, also known as Hellboy, was convicted for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a machinegun during a drug-trafficking crime.

Court documents reveal that on August 28, 2021, Scarbor was involved in a high-speed chase in Norfolk. He fled from police in a BMW, ignoring stop signs and eventually crashing through gravestones in a cemetery. After the crash, Scarbor attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by law enforcement. Authorities found him with a waist pack containing 87 pills and a machinegun conversion device (MCD). Two semi-automatic firearms were also recovered from the vehicle.

On April 5, 2023, while on pretrial release for his previous offense, Scarbor failed to appear in court. Norfolk police located him at a hotel where they discovered an ammunition magazine and various drugs including cocaine, fentanyl mixtures, and methamphetamine along with another handgun equipped with an MCD.

Scarbor's criminal history includes a conviction in 2013 for robbery and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

The sentencing announcement was made by Erik S. Siebert, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia; Michael Feinberg, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Norfolk Field Office; and Ramin Fatehi, Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney after Senior U.S. District Judge John A. Gibney Jr.'s ruling.

The case was prosecuted by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Graham M. Stolle and Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph E. DePadilla.

Further details can be accessed through the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia or via PACER using Case No. 2:23-cr-112.
